Why Uzetool

What these tools are for, and what stays on your device

Who uses them, which numbers never leave the browser, and how the categories differ.

Students use the percentage calculator on a test score, the scientific calculator for classwork, and the word counter against an essay limit. Freelancers use the loan calculator to compare a monthly payment, the currency converter before invoicing a client abroad, and the unit converter when a spec arrives in inches. Developers use the color picker, the image tools, the favicon generator, and the Base64 converter while building a page.

Most tools never send what you type. The password generator uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues and does not post the result. Text in the word counter, a date of birth, and a photo you crop, compress, or sample a color from stay in that tab. The background remover downloads the @imgly/background-removal model once (about 40 MB, via esm.sh) and then runs locally; the photo is not uploaded. The currency converter is the exception: it fetches a daily mid-market table from ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com, USD base) and caches it in localStorage. The amount you type is multiplied on your device and is not sent. Time zones use the browser's IANA data through Intl.DateTimeFormat, not a remote API.

Calculators

Percentage, loan amortization, BMI, age, and the scientific calculator each run a fixed formula in JavaScript.

Converters

Unit conversion multiplies by a published factor — an inch is 0.0254 metres — except temperature, which converts through Celsius with an offset. Currency uses the rate table above. Time zones convert a clock time with the browser's timezone database.

Design

Compress, crop, convert format, pick a color, build a favicon, make a collage or meme, read EXIF, resize for social networks, or encode Base64. The only network step in this group is the background-removal model download.

Content

The word counter and the random picker work on text or a name list you paste in. That text is not uploaded.

Score and skill tests

Reaction time, clicks per second, typing speed, the spacebar counter, and the aim trainer time your input in the page. A score is not stored on a server.

Life and perspective

Life in weeks, salary per second, the phone-life estimate, and the boss-toilet calculator are arithmetic on numbers you type. They illustrate a figure, not financial, medical, or employment advice.

Pranks and screen tools

The fake tip screen, stuck update, loading bar, and glitch pattern are drawings in the browser. They do not change the operating system or the display.

Security

The password generator uses cryptographic randomness in the browser. The strength checker scores the string you type on the page and does not transmit it.
